- 1 1/3 cup rolled oats
- 2 cups water
- 1 cup low-fat milk
- 2 thickly sliced medium sized bananas
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 additional cup low-fat milk (for use on cooked oats – optional)
- Pour the water and the milk (1 cup) into a pot and bring to the boil.
- Lower the heat and add oats. Allow to simmer for about 5 min. Oats should be soft and creamy when ready.
- Put oats in bowls and top with honey, walnuts and banana sliced. Add extra milk if desired. (Serves 4)
