Delicious Oats filled with Bananas and Walnuts

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 1/3 cup rolled oats
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cup low-fat milk
  • 2 thickly sliced medium sized bananas
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 additional cup low-fat milk (for use on cooked oats – optional)

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Pour the water and the milk (1 cup) into a pot and bring to the boil.
  2. Lower the heat and add oats. Allow to simmer for about 5 min. Oats should be soft and creamy when ready.
  3. Put oats in bowls and top with honey, walnuts and banana sliced. Add extra milk if desired. (Serves 4)
